Scritches

four U.S.-based writers are matched with four U.K.-based writers to create new plays responding to a London gem-of-a-place.

Brooklyn Rep presents a transatlantic theatrical matchmaking play festival/pizza party wherein writers based in The U.S. and directors based in The U.K. form virtual relationships that result in a variety of new plays performed in the basement of the center of queer East London performance, The Glory. Each Scritches will begin with teams taking a virtual date to a London gem-of-a-place to find inspiration for their plays.

Scritches plays have found inspiration in The Museum of the Home and Novelty Automation.
